I love British style and the fact that we (well, some of us) aren't afraid to be unique. I love going to London and seeing all the different styles of people. My favourite shop is Topshop, my favourite designers are Luella and Chanel and i love the styles of Alexa Chung, Edie Sedgwick and the Olsen twins. My favourite models are Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson and Gemma Ward. I want to be a fashion journalist or stylist :)

purpose & description
This isn't a new year's resolution, but I've made it a goal for myself to never dress down in public ever again. For the past two weeks of winter break, I've been dashing around in sweatpants, big t-shirts, clashing sweatshirts, and worn-in UGGs -- so unlike me, as you can imagine. Everyone was traveling and out of state though, so I logically assumed no one would see me. After a massive closet clean-out, I vowed to restore myself to propriety once again. Good habits are hard to break. ♡ Pink headband with satin blue bow ♡ Betsey Johnson silhouettes earrings ♡ Freshwater pearl necklace ♡ White Gap classics tank top ♡ Erin Fetherston for Target navy blue and velvet jumper with hearts ♡ White H&M cardigan with pearl and bead finishes ♡ Black tights ♡ Taryn by Taryn Rose platform pumps with glitter-bedecked heels ♡ Miss Dior Cherie eau de parfum

I agree with Annie. The pieces are awesome, but the sweater overwhelmes you in THIS outfit. Otherwise, great!

All these pieces are so fun! But together it doesn't flatter your figure. The sweater would look great with a fitted top and skinny jeans since it's flowy. A button down cardigan over the dress would show off your waist more.

You have a fab shape so i think you should swap the sweater for a good quality vest in black - that will be uber glam!

I would change this up and go for the Nicole Ritchie look: nix the skirt and get some black skinny jeans instead to wear with black flat boots and a simple long necklace. Then, tie your hair up in a loose, messy-but-classy knot with the headband. And pair this all with a big bag and you're ready to go!

I like your resolution! I always feel it's better to be overdressed than underdressed, so I definitely like that you don't want to be dressed down in public anymore. I think the outfit is different and packed with personal style, so I can't hate on that. The only thing I would change is maybe the shoes... I love the shape and the color and the thick heel, but the glitter along with the glittery top may be too much for a casual day.

individually, I think these pieces are great. Together, however, they just don't mesh well. The loose skirt with the loose top and unbuttoned cardigan doesn't give you and shape. I would suggest swapping the top with a more fitted cami, and then maybe a thin belt over the cardigan to cinch the waist to a more streamlined silhouette. I also think the shoes are a bit much- you already have statement earrings, and there's a sheen to the sweater, so you really don't need to go for the bold shoes. i think black booties would look incredibly chic with this look, or even plain patent pumps.

not sure about the cardi..a belt would look good round the dress..which is very pretty.
