HipHop Concert Outfit

purpose & description

I wore this to see Nas at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on Dec 27. I love it because it is both fashionable and functional AND mixes low-end with high-end peices. The hat and thermal kept me warm and dry as I stood in outside for 2.5 hours. The leather jacket, silver heels, and turqoise bag are my personal style. Hat: basic plain black baseball style hat Jacket: L.A.M.B. leather jacket Top: Forever21 v-neck thermal and tank top Bottom: Forever21 grey skinnies Shoes: Wetseal silver platform peeptoe pumps Bag: Marc Jacobs Jewelry: Metropark and Forever 21 necklaces, Chinatown ring

I like this outfit and think that it really flatters and brings out your figure. The only thing I'm not really into is the turquoise bag- with so much grey/white/black you need a more vibrant bag. Although turquoise can definitely be vibrant, that particular shade is more soft and muted and so it just adds to the grey effect of your outfit. Cherry red, fiery orange, a brighter, bluer turquoise, even a warm and saturated plum would all do the trick. Also, I would suggest hemming your jeans slightly since a shorter hem would make your outfit look more put together and flatter your legs too.

The accessories pull the outfit together and spices up the base pieces: white top and grey bottom. The like the cut of the leather jacket, it flatters your figure well!

i'd wear the jacket a bit longer, i've got similar curves, but you're braver than me - work it with a wiggle!

Great outfit, shows off your figure! Too add some color, I'd wear red peep toes instead of silver, but I like!
