Me on the left, my friend on the right. See the girl in the background? I made her shirt, it's a green tunic for her Maid Marion costume. About a month before Halloween, a good friend of mine IMd me saying something like this "i've decided i want to be juliet (angel costume from the baz luhrman version) for halloween. but all of the costumes suck. CAN YOU MAKE IT?" Of course I responded with a resounded "well, i guess i can try". So we went to the Goodwill to look for nightgowns or t shirts that could be reconstructed. We found a really good night gown to use for the skirt and got some t shirts for the top, but I decided to just use a wifebeater. I made her wings out of feathers, cardboard, ribbon, and tape. I decided that I wanted to be a faerie, and made my wings out of coat hangers and tights. The dress I bought at goodwill for $5, and the petticoat was my mothers.
