purpose & description
My very own sweater dress! I didn't want the usual sweater dress; I wanted something very colorful [check], not too thick, or long sleeved since I get hott very easily [check], and something long enough to cover my behing, not just a sweater with the word dress at the end, cause God knows I'm no Mischa Barton; I don't have the body to walk around in a booty sweater and tights [check]. I also wanted to wear my tights, and my new booties[Marc Fischer]. I love the mixture of patterns and textures of the dress, the shoe[gray and black, tweed and patent], and the tights[ribbed]. It was a very comfy dress to "gobble" down some turkey in. Sorry! I know it was cheesy, but I couldn't resist!

Oh, Laura, I don't think you can love them half as much as IIII do! ;-) I've been eyeing them since spring [no lie!] and they were too much and i wasn't even sure they would still be in style by the time i got them, but I kept my eye on them and ended up with a hot pair of shoes for $35!!!!!!! They were originally like $150 or something....

I think you've achieved what you were looking for -- I like the style of the dress, it's simple and fits you well. I can't really see the colors, patterns and textures so I can't tell if it goes with the tweed and patent shoes. I would add a thin bracelet to give this dark look some shine!

Love the shoes, love everything except the sweater dress. You said you were going for colorful, but this is very dark. Although I'm thinking that the photo may just not show the color very well.
