purpose & description
I bought this really cute black and white shift dress with the oversized black button in Macy's New York City. I paired it with a pair of white leggings with three little bows at each side for a more playful and dressy touch, paired white patent BCBGirls heels with it, and added a pearl necklace (not worn, but shown). Do you think I should add more color to it, or keep the black and white scheme? How else could I wear this dress?

white leggins look ultra tacky and the dress has no shape to it.

it's a bit over the top...

I don´t like the leggins, they are not flattering. You could wear black or even purple or dark-blue tights with the dress and the shoes

I agree that it's a little too matchy

umm.... I dont like the top sweet heart, u have wide sholders and the top covers u're figure... so u look a bit big.... and I know u r not.... so try to stay a way from tops like that...it looks like U have a nice neck bone and nice legs perhaps u shoould wear an off the sholders top that covers u're arms ....but I like the idea just not the top....Muah!! take care sweet heart

i think you're too yung for these shoes... try flats or black gladiators... try wearing the top with denim instead of the leggings

visually it has too many lengths - the skirt, the leggings. I would wear it with think black tights for winter or stick some deep blue skinny jeans under it. Add some heavy black eyeliner & you are good to go. Think Mary Quant/ 60's style

definitely no leggings...again, if it's cooler out, you could make this a fall look by wear opaque black tights and black shoes...i love tights

I find these shift-dresses so difficult to get right! Def don't like the white leggins, but I like the shoes (both pairs). Fantasyshopper's suggestion of black leggins sounds good, or a pair of short shorts, or just as a dress, if you have the legs and attitude to rock it.

I don't think you need the leggings either because the dress is cute. Also, since you have the detail on the chest, I don't think you need the pearl necklace. A gold bangle would work as an accessory.

I think everything is really cute, especially the tights and shoes. I think black tights might be better to not break it up too much? I like the black and white scheme, it's so utilitarian :) Bring along a really bright bag for color perhaps.

Hmm, I think this would look better without the leggings, and maybe with the same shoes, but black with white trim instead? But the dress is adorable!

The top looks like it needs to be pulled down a bit, so that your boobs are in the white part....not half in white half in black, which makes it look a bit 'frumpy'
