purpose & description
This Chanel top is a timeless classic. The shirt is a bit sheer, so I usually wear it with a tight white cami underneath. You really can't go wrong pairing this top with a classic black skirt. I kept the accessories to a minimum to keep the look chic and understated.

it looks old... try different shoes maybe flats... and a colorful bag

it is a little mature but you can work with it & create loads of new outfits

you could update it by adding one of the new skirt lengths from autumn winter - the new pencil skirt or a volume skirt & some Mary Janes or ankle boots with black tights - sorry I am into winter already!

It's cute, dressy, and chic and yet...it's something my mom would find appealing. Bebe has this really cute satin pencil skirt with ruffled trim; you can wear it high waist!

This is a good start, but it needs a little updating...maybe tucking it in to a high waisted pencil skirt and pairing it with a sweet pair of gem stone colored heels (see image) and some colorful bangles, would really spice up an otherwise boring outfit. A cropped jacket would look great paired with that top, wideleg jeans and wedges or platforms, it is the ultimate Casual Chic. :)

Since you seem to love the top, how about trying it over a pair of tight, long, flared jeans with a pair of heels? This could be a fantastic "I look great even though I'm not trying" look (or the "I wear Chanel to the baseball game" sort of thing). With it's current combination (knee-length skirt) it looks a little dowdy. Since you say it is a little thin, how about contrasting the top's flouncy-ness with a structured a-line or pleated skirt?

It's a plain boring look for work. I like the shoes. Something dramatic would go better with the skirt. Maybe red? Something spicy. The top would look nice with some tailored black capris with some nice bracelets and necklace. That would look chic.

I would spice up this "classic" outfit with a colored bag and some colored heels!

It's classic, but that's the thing...there's nothing "new." I'd go for a high-waisted pencil skirt and a bangle

the shirt's not ugly.. it just seems a little ordinary.. i understand that its Chanel & all but why stress the shirt so much just because its designer? personally i really like the shoes more than anything else.
