purpose & description
As the autumn season moves in, I can mix in classic preppy uniform pieces to create a prim and proper look: a slightly pleated tweed skirt, a white peacoat from J. Crew, brown cashmere Lauren by Ralph Lauren knee-high socks, and brown leather Franco Sarto ballet flats. What accessories can I add to it, and what can I do to change the outfit every so often?

I would not wear the peacoat with a skirt but with skinny jeans and pair the skirt and the socks with a tighter jacket or a cardigan and scarf. This combination is somehow too shapeless

i think if you're going to wear knee socks, you should wear heels with them unless your legs are a million miles long, or wear a slightly shorter skirt...or just wear tights

i actually think the socks draw too much attention away from the coat. maybe light colored socks maybe it would look good with a shoulderbag

love the peacoat, I would try lighter socks since the absolute darkness doesnt seem to match the tones of the rest of the outfit.
